SafeTalk is a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means we’re a not-for-profit organisation created to benefit the community, rather than make money. Every penny raised goes directly back into providing our free online mental health and emotional wellbeing support for teenagers aged 13–18. From training volunteers and staff, to keeping our online service running safely, your donations and fundraising help us make sure every young person has a safe space to talk and be heard.
SafeTalk began with two friends who share a strong belief that no one should have to struggle alone. They’ve seen first-hand how hard it can be for young people to access the right support when they need it. Combining professional mental health and counselling qualifications with firsthand experience they created SafeTalk as a safe, supportive place for teenagers to talk and be heard.
Treatment for teen anxiety combines lifestyle strategies, and sometimes medication. CBT, mindfulness, and coping skills help manage anxious thoughts, while support from parents and schools reduces stress. In severe cases, medication may be added to help teens feel more in control and supported.
Treatment for teen stress emphasizes healthy coping skills, relaxation techniques, time management, and problem solving helps process emotions, while support from family, school, and peers encourages balanced routines and realistic expectations. Balanced routines also plays a key role.
